Mobile Crisis Response Team MCRT

The Mobile Crisis Response Team will respond to behavioral health and addiction crisis calls throughout Seneca, Ottawa, Sandusky, Wyandot, Huron, and Erie Counties.

All MCRT services are free. The dispatch line operates Monday through Friday - 8:00 am to 11:00 pm in Seneca, Ottawa, Sandusky, Wyandot, and Huron Counties, and 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm in Erie County. For an emergency at any hour, call or text 988.

About MCRT

The Mobile Crisis Response Team was designed in 2020 and began as a pilot project in 2021 in Sandusky County, Ohio. In 2022, the team expanded to cover Seneca, Ottawa, and Wyandot Counties. In 2024, the team once again expanded to cover Huron County. The MCRT handles behavioral health and addiction related calls in the communities with or without public safety assistance. In 2026, MCRT expanded to Erie County as well.

How We Work



Working With First Responders

The team partners with law enforcement, fire, and EMS to de-escalate a crisis. Once a situation is stable, they coordinate with mental health providers, addiction counselors, and hospitals to find the right care and support recovery.



Long-Term Support

Help doesn't end when the crisis does. The team stays involved over time to support both the individual and the family working to keep them stable — an approach that tends to reduce repeat crisis calls and hospitalizations.



Our mission is to assist individuals living with behavioral health and addiction issues by increasing access to treatment, services and basic needs.
