About Recovery Housing
Recovery housing is characterized as a safe and healthy living environment that promotes abstinence from alcohol and other drugs and enhances participation and retention in recovery supports, including Medication Assisted Recovery. Key components include, but are not limited to, the social model of recovery, peer support, accountability, relapse prevention strategies, and employment skills training as residents transition to living independently and productively in the community.
